# Verify claims against sources

Check your draft one claim at a time and inspect the supporting passages.

Ask Anara to compare a claim with the evidence in your files. Treat the output as a review you can inspect, not a guarantee that the claim is correct.

## Check a draft [#check-a-draft]

1. Upload the sources or open the project folder containing them.
2. Paste the exact sentence or paragraph to check.
3. State whether external sources are allowed.
4. Ask for a verdict and evidence for each claim.

```text title="Prompt"
Check the paragraph below against the files in this folder. Break it into claims. Mark each as supported, partially supported, contradicted, or not found. Quote the relevant passages with citations and identify missing full text. Do not fill gaps from general knowledge.
[paste paragraph]
```

## Review the evidence [#review-the-evidence]

Open each citation and read the surrounding passage. Check population, methods, dates, and qualifications. A passage on the same subject may not support the sentence as written. "Not found" means the available search did not establish support; it does not prove the statement false.

Ask for a revision that stays within the evidence, then check it again. In a note, [Search citation](/guides/notes#add-citations) helps you find and insert a source for selected text.
