# Supported file types

Formats you can upload and the limits that apply to them.

Upload files from your computer or drag them into Anara. These are the supported upload extensions.

[Web pages and paper identifiers](/guides/import-by-url) use link import. [Audio and video](/guides/transcription) are transcribed so you can ask about what was said.

## File limits [#file-limits]

| Plan | File size limit | Page limit |
| ------------------ | --------------- | ---------- |
| Free | 20 MiB | 120 |
| Plus and Education | 100 MiB | 600 |
| Pro | 300 MiB | 10,000 |

MiB means 1,048,576 bytes. These are the file and page limits, not a daily upload allowance. Importing also uses [AI usage](/guides/usage-and-credits). Markdown and plain-text imports have a separate 5 MiB limit.

Max and Enterprise have different entitlements. A plan without a fixed file-size ceiling still depends on successful upload and processing; do not treat it as a guarantee that any file can be processed.

## After upload [#after-upload]

The library distinguishes files such as notes, spreadsheets, images, audio, video, and websites. **Full text** indicates whether readable content was extracted. An accepted extension does not guarantee that an encrypted, damaged, or incomplete file can be read. See [troubleshooting](/guides/troubleshooting).
