# The interface

Find your way around the sidebar, library, tabs, and right-hand panel.

Anara has three areas: a left sidebar for navigation, a main area for your library and open files, and a right sidebar where chat and file details live.

## Left sidebar [#left-sidebar]

* **Workspace name:** switch workspaces or open workspace settings.
* **Create:** start a new Agent chat, a note, or a folder.
* **Home:** quick actions and recently opened items.
* **Library:** every document, note, and imported item.
* **Search:** find anything in your library by title, content, or metadata.
* **Chats:** your past Agent chats.
* **Folders:** your folder tree, split into Private, Team, and Shared.
* **Trash:** deleted files, chats, and folders, recoverable for 30 days.
* **Usage and Support:** at the bottom, your usage meter and ways to contact us.

## Library [#library]

The library is a table. Each row is a file, with columns such as title, authors, date added, full text status, file type, summary, tags, and reading progress. Use **Filter**, **Sort**, and **Display** in the toolbar, and select rows with checkboxes to move, tag, export, or delete several files at once. ## Tabs [#tabs]

Every file, note, and chat you open gets its own tab, so you can keep several open and switch without losing your place.

## Right sidebar [#right-sidebar]

Open the **Agent** button in the top right to chat from anywhere. When a file or note is open, the right sidebar also has tabs for that item:

| Ask         | A chat anchored to this file or folder                   |
| Notes       | Notes linked to the document                             |
| Details     | Metadata, AI summary, abstract, and a formatted citation |
| Annotations | Every highlight and comment in the PDF                   |
| History     | Saved versions of a note                                 |

Collapse the sidebar with the toggle on the right edge of the viewer when you want more room to read.
