# Connect OneDrive and SharePoint

Import files from Microsoft storage and use them in research.

OneDrive and SharePoint connect your Microsoft files to Anara. OneDrive requires Pro or above. SharePoint is available through Enterprise and Max entitlements.

## Connect [#connect]

1. Open **Settings > Connectors**.
2. Choose **OneDrive** or **SharePoint**, then **Connect**.
3. Sign in to the Microsoft account that can access the content.
4. Approve the requested access and return to Anara.
5. Open the source's import picker and select the files or folders you need. For SharePoint, choose the appropriate site and document library.

Work or school accounts may require administrator consent. If Microsoft blocks authorization, ask your Microsoft 365 administrator to approve the connection.

## Use files in chat [#use-files-in-chat]

Mention the connected source and name the file, folder, or site. Use your organization's own terminology to help locate it. For a sustained project, import the relevant files into an Anara folder and [chat with that folder](/guides/chat).

```text title="Prompt"
Find the current project protocol in SharePoint and compare it with the studies in my project folder. Cite both sources and identify any missing evidence.
```

## Missing or outdated content [#missing-or-outdated-content]

Anara cannot access files the connected account lacks permission to read. Check the account, site, library, and file type. Imported files are copies; reimport changed content when needed. There is no automatic Resync step. See [connectors](/guides/connectors) for the distinction between imports and live access.
