# @ mention an agent in chat

This tutorial will show you how to use Anara's specialized AI agents to enhance your research workflow with powerful, task-specific capabilities.

## Step 1: Access the agents menu

To see available agents:

1. Type **@** in any chat input
2. A dropdown menu appears showing all available agents
3. Each agent is listed with its specific capabilities

## Step 3: Select an agent

Choose the agent that best matches your task:

### Research agents

* **@Research**: Get comprehensive answers from your library, web, and academic papers
* **@Search Papers**: Search millions of academic papers from PubMed, arXiv, JSTOR
* **@Search Web**: Find current information from across the internet
* **@Search YouTube**: Find and extract information from YouTube videos
* **@Search Workspace**: Search across all files and notes in your library

### Creation agents

* **@Create Citation**: Generate properly formatted academic citations
* **@Create Flashcards**: Turn content into study materials
* **@Edit Note**: Modify existing notes with specific instructions
* **@Complete Form**: Fill out templates with organized information

## Step 4: Write your query

After selecting an agent:

1. The agent name appears in your message (e.g., "@Research")
2. Type your specific request after the agent mention
3. Be clear and specific about what you need

### Example queries:

* "@Research What are the latest findings on climate change mitigation?"
* "@Search Papers Find studies on CRISPR gene editing from 2023"
