Our system can automatically extract text from scanned documents and images using Optical Character Recognition (OCR). This allows you to search, highlight, and work with text that would otherwise be locked inside image-based files. The OCR process is applied automatically to all imported content containing image-based text, with no manual activation required.

How it works

When you upload a supported file type containing image-based text, Anara runs OCR in the background. Once processed, the extracted text is stored alongside the file so it can be included in full-text search results, highlighted and copied, and used in Anara’s summarization and analysis tools

Supported formats

Our OCR feature supports a wide range of document types:
  • PDFs with scanned pages or image content
  • All image files (jpg, jpeg, png, tiff, bmp, heic)
  • Screenshots and images embedded within documents
  • Handwritten notes (with support for multiple languages)
