Connect Mendeley

Connect Mendeley to find and import research without downloading each file first. This connector is available on every plan, including Free.

Connect and import

1. Open Settings > Connectors.
2. Find Mendeley and click Connect.
3. Sign in to Mendeley and authorize Anara.
4. Return to Anara and open the connected source's import picker.
5. Select the content you want and complete the import.
6. Check the imported files and their Full text status in your library.

Choose the references and attached files you want to bring in. A reference record without its PDF cannot provide the full paper for passage-level answers.

Ask about your research

Type @ and choose Mendeley to direct the agent to the connected service. To work with copies already imported, open their folder or mention them in chat.

Find the papers relevant to my project in Mendeley. Show me the matches before importing them. Then compare the methods using the full text available in my library.

Keep content current

Imports are copies. Connecting an account does not guarantee every file is imported, and changes in Mendeley do not automatically update those copies. Import new or changed content when needed and check the resulting records.

If a file is missing, check its account, permissions, attachment, and format. Reconnect from Settings if authorization has expired. See troubleshooting for processing failures.
