Quickstart
Go from sign-up to your first cited answer in a few minutes.
Anara is a research workspace: a library for your sources, an agent that searches and reads them, and an editor for writing. This page gets you from an empty account to a cited answer.
1. Create your account
Go to anara.com and sign up with Google, Apple, Microsoft, or your email address. Anara creates a workspace for you automatically.
2. Add a document
- In the sidebar, click Create > Upload file (or Upload folder), or drag a file anywhere into the Anara window.
- Wait a moment while Anara extracts the text and metadata and writes a short summary.
Already use Zotero or Mendeley? Connect it instead of uploading papers one by one.
3. Ask a question
- Open the file.
- Ask a question in the chat on the right and press Enter.
- Click any numbered citation in the answer to jump to the exact passage it came from.
4. Ask across many files
Put related papers in a folder, open the folder, and ask your question there. Anara searches every document in the folder, including subfolders, and cites each source it uses. Asking across 20 papers or 200 works the same way.
5. Write a note
Click Create in the left sidebar and choose Note. Write with the agent beside you, insert citations from your library, and export to PDF, Word, HTML, or LaTeX when you are done.
